SWAN Coach House Gallery

Completed in 1984, the Swan Coach House Gallery is the work of noted classical architect, Caldwell Smith. It features ample natural light and skylights similar to those found in many European galleries. The space is an expansion of the original Swan Coach House footprint and has won rave reviews for its design and exhibitions.

Notably, the gallery hosts an annual series of special exhibitions that include various types of artistic expressions from nationally and internationally renowned artists. In the past decade, the gallery turned its focus to featuring and promoting works by Southern artists. It also established the Emerging Artist Award which provides a monetary award and solo exhibition presented annually to an outstanding artist from the metro Atlanta area.

The gallery serves as an outreach program of the Forward Arts Foundation. Founded in 1965, the Forward Arts Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the greater Atlanta community by promoting and supporting the visual arts.
